Standard for Battery Chargers for Charging Engine-Starter Batteries
This Standard covers battery chargers rated 600V or less, which are designed for charging lead-acid, engine-starter batteries in residential and commercial applications. It also covers battery chargers permanently installed on boats. It includes requirements to help reduce the risk of fire in the event a charger is exposed to hot oil.
