This Standard covers the construction and performance of portable dry chemical and dry powder (Class D) fire extinguishers. Fire extinguishers in this category are intended to be utilized in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 10, the Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, and with the National Fire Code of Canada.
